SCORZONE OR SUMMER BLACK TRUFFLE
Warty, formed by protruding and chapped warts that make the hard rind from which it takes the adjective “big rind" and pointed in black at the end.
Hazelnut with shades of yellow, crossed by very branched white veins, more or less fine.
Oval, roundish, irregular.
The average size is quite high: it starts from dimensions such as an egg or an orange and can be reached by half a kilo.
From June to November.

Soft scent, it is used as a base for preparations with other ingredients.

Peridium with typical chapped warts, lighter gleba than the other "black truffles" species, generally high in size and mainly summer ripening period.
